THE SHOP started with a simple mission: family‑run, from‑scratch cooking that honors our commitment to conscious, local ingredients. We specialize in West Coast deep-dish and traditional crust pizza, plus fresh salads, appetizers, sandwiches, and pastas—all prepared daily in-house.

Brett Herring brings 20+ years of experience from SF’s Little Star Pizza, known for Chicago-style deep dish. In 2020, he opened The Shop in Rancho Bernardo Plaza, bringing that signature cornmeal-crusted, deep dish to North County San Diego. Today, the 858—layered with spinach, ricotta, garlic, mushrooms, onions & bacon—sits alongside thin-crust classics like Margherita and Veggie Pesto on our daily menu.
